About Us

Apex Records is a small, family owned business in Schererville, Indiana specializing in melodic rock, hard rock and heavy metal CDs and Vinyl. Our goal is to provide excellent service, great products and fair pricing.

Bill and Ben are both passionate about music and like to say "we stock what we like!" That's why you'll find artists from Bryan Adams to KISS to Judas Priest to Cattle Decapitation in our shop. We like to think we carry a little something for everyone who enjoys Rock and Metal music.

Meet the Apex Crew

Bill

Our fearless leader! Bill's loved music ever since he heard Foreigner's Hot Blooded while being babysat. He's always wanted his own record store and finally made his dream a reality. You'll see him at every record show. Favorite artists include Def Leppard, Harem Scarem, and Night Flight Orchestra. Bill is a melodic rock master!

Ben

Ben is the co-founder of Apex Records and encouraged his dad to follow his dreams. Ben loves all things heavy metal and can tell you about every sub-genre of metal. Favorite artists includes Megadeth, Trivium, and Black Dahlia Murder. His favorite sub-genre is melodic death metal. Ben is a master at suggesting new bands based on your favorites. You may see him at shows when he's not gigging with his own band, Departure.

Selena

Also known as Mrs. Apex, Selena helps out with packing orders, website and FB updates, inventory and is often seen at record shows. She likes melodic rock and 90's alternative. Favorites include Night Flight Orchestra, Alanis Morissette, and H.E.A.T. Queensryche's Operation Mindcrime is among her favorite albums.

Andrew

He doesn't want to be here. But we call it Forced Family Funtime! Seriously though, Andrew helps out whenever he can. He's our marketing mastermind. You'll see him at a few record shows when he's not too busy with other things. Favorite artists include Night Flight Orchestra, Cher, and H.E.A.T.
